Abstract

This year is the two thousandth anniversary of the birth of Pliny the Elder (Gaius Plinius Secundus)
which took place in Como between 23 and 24 AD. eclectic genius: writer, naturalist philosopher, military commander, author of a precious work in 37 books, the "Naturalis historia", among which the topic
which deals with medicine, evidence that it is an opportunity for the Academy of Health Art History, a cultural institution aimed at the History of Medicine, to celebrate the event through a singular "anatomical link" with Pliny represented by skeletal remains consisting of a skull cap and a jaw supposed to belong to him and which are exhibited in the Museum.
