Focus, Scope and Objectives

The Italian Journal of Prevention, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Medicine is the official journal of SIMEDET, the Italian Society of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Medicine.

The ISO4 abbreviation of Italian Journal of Prevention Diagnostic and Therapeutic medicine is Ital. J. Prev. Diagn. Ther. med. It is the standardised abbreviation to be used for abstracting, indexing and referencing purposes and meets all criteria of the ISO 4 standard for abbreviating names of scientific journals.

The Italian Journal of Prevention, Diagnostic and Therapeutic Medicine aims to promote excellence in the practice of internal and emergency medicine and in the research in preventive medicine.

The magazine also contributes to the updating of health professionals (doctors, nurses, technicians, etc.) on general topics concerning public health, including ethical, legal, economic and health policy issues.

The journal is a quarterly peer-reviewed journal aiming to publish highest-quality material covering original basic and clinical research and includes original clinical research papers, reviews, case reports.

The Ital. J. Prev. Diagn. Ther. med. employ a double-blind review process, in which the author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa, throughout the review process.

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.

Article Processing Charge

This journal does not provide any publication cost for the Authors as it is entirely supported by institutional funds (SIMEDET - Italian Society of Diagnostic and Therapeutic Medicine).

Pre- and post-prints

The Publisher allows and encourages authors to deposit both their pre- and post-prints in Open-Access institutional archives or repositories. The primary benefit of pre- and post-print self-archiving is reaching a larger audience which enhances the visibility and impact of your research.

Archiving

This journal utilizes the PKP Preservation Network to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration.
