Abstract

La depressione è una malattia mentale invalidante, molto comune e associata a un rischio maggiore di malattia e morte. La depressione sta diventando molto comune tra tutte le persone anziane a causa di stress sociale, elevate responsabilità, povertà, lunghe ore di lavoro, tossicodipendenza, uso eccessivo di smartphone, ambiente ostile e molto altro. Sebbene la cura completa della depressione sia impossibile, il tasso e l'entità della depressione possono essere ridotti utilizzando una disciplina adeguata e strategie di trattamento non farmacologico. La depressione colpisce oltre 350 milioni di persone in tutto il mondo. Attualmente la terapia e le tecniche non farmacologiche per la depressione si stanno sviluppando rapidamente. Per tutti i tipi di persone, stanno diventando disponibili una varietà di tecniche con risultati rapidi, bassi tassi di infortunio, elevata aderenza e altri benefici. Questo articolo esplora la ricerca online e la letteratura sui trattamenti non farmacologici della depressione per aiutare i lettori a determinare i mezzi più efficaci per curare la depressione senza dipendere da farmaci e farmacie.
